Differences and similarities between email and the postal service

Some of the main similarities between email and the postal service is that there is no guarantee that the mail you are sending will ever to delivered to the receiver. In addition to this, there is no guarantee of privacy while using these two services. Lastly for similarities, they are both a means of delivering a message to another party. As for the differences, email will send your message almost instantly whereas in traditional mail it can take days or even weeks. Not to mention in traditional mail, the package has a more likely chance of getting lost due to human error. Another difference is that if an email is entered incorrectly, there is no chance of the receiver getting your email. However, in traditional mail it is still likely the receiver will get the mail due to the mail man/woman knowing which name belongs to which mailbox. Lastly, for the differences, in sending traditional mail there is usually a cost associated because one must purchase a stamp. Whereas, sending an email is usually free.
